Scenic villages, Dramatic cliffs dropping into the sea, lagoons with unique rock formations – this is how I would describe the Algarve if you were asking me. Portugal’s south coast is often equated with the Algarve as a region. This is not entirely true. There is more to the Algarve but just this coast. But: I only had time to drive the coast.
Thanks to its geographical location, the Algarve is a very special piece of Europe. It marks the most western point of Europe’s mainland. There is a mobile kitchen that sells Bratwurst – and of course I eat one and have received a certificate.
Photography Tip:
Just be careful when taking photographs at the cliff. Bring good shoes because it is very dangerous. If you trip, there is not much others can do to help you!
Also, take care of the photo equipment. It is quite windy at those cliffs and the wind can blow away your camera (mounted on a tripod…)
