I started to retouch some of my photos I took years ago with all the knowledge I know now I did not know back then! This gives me the opportunity to go on virtual travels to all the beautiful places I have been before!
When doing this, I realized that I often tend post processing my photos the same way I did this before. This is because of the facts that I do not change anything at my photos like for instance sky replacements or any other wild stuff that Photoshop could actually do. Not that I am judging this, but for me the photograph is still the base I want to work on. I try to be as close and realistic to what I have experienced when taking the photo.
I used my Lightroom Preset Packages for starting and went over to Photoshop to make the final retouch.
My Retouching Thoughts
Find your own way of the prost processing workflow! I have been starting to retouch my photos about 10 years ago and processed thousands of photos ever since. I watched tutorials that helped me finding the “correct” way – but there is no correct way. There is also not a one-click method that will make a unique photo no one else has.
Retouching is where the fun starts and makes me re-experiencing the trip. But more important is the creation of unique photos when I come back home. Over on my store is everything I know about digital Photography – and I am working on more!
