In October 2024, I set out on what would become one of my most colorful adventures yet – a photography trip to capture the breathtaking beauty of the Indian Summer in the northeastern United States. My journey began in Boston, a city I’ve always loved, especially in autumn when the streets glow with golden leaves and crisp air fills the mornings.
From Boston, I traveled to Acadia National Park in Maine, where the fiery reds, deep oranges, and glowing yellows of the fall foliage left me speechless.
The road then led me through several stunning national parks and scenic byways before I reached New York City, where I experienced Halloween in the USA for the very first time – adding a fun and cultural twist to my adventure.
This trip wasn’t just about traveling; it was about capturing photography moments that tell a story – the vivid colors, quiet mornings in the woods, and the unique energy of the season.
Personal Experience: Bringing Travel Photography to the Big Screen
For years, I dreamed of sharing my travel photography stories on a cinema screen. A few years back, I even imagined renting a theater to show my photos and films. But life – writing my books, running photography workshops, and managing projects – always delayed that dream.
In 2024, I finally made it a reality. After creating a draft presentation and experimenting with creative storytelling in PowerPoint, I rented a cinema at Pathé Westside in Switzerland. Watching my work come to life on the big screen, surrounded by an audience who shared my passion for travel and photography, was an unforgettable experience. The atmosphere was electric, and it confirmed for me: I want to do this again.
Thank you for joining me on this journey. If you ever get the chance to visit the northeastern US in autumn, don’t hesitate. The Indian Summer is more than just a season – it’s a breathtaking celebration of nature that will stay with you long after the leaves have fallen.
Outlook: What’s Next
Although I haven’t settled on a final title yet, I’m announcing that my next travel photography presentation will take place in Swiss-German in March 2026, with an online English version available worldwide via Microsoft Teams.
