There is a city called Freiburg close to where I live but I took the photograph for this post in Freiburg in Germany, not Switzerland. To be specific, the towns name is called “Freiburg im Breisgau”. I was there during new year’s eve. It is only about 1.5 hours driving distance from my home, this is a good reason to get there. Another few good reasons are the good food, tons of astounding views of old buildings and it is discoverable within one day.
Freiburg became to me a very pleasant surprise!
During the middle ages, all the cites had water canals and Freiburg kept them (see in the photograph). Freiburg has an almost complete working system of those canals left; this you cannot find anywhere in the world. One of the ideas of those canals was to cool off the city – this reminds me a little bit of Singapore (Click Here…), there they had an outside air conditioning system but from above underneath the umbrellas.

Photo Tip: Leading Lines
I often look for leading lines to guide the eye to the main object in the photograph. This photograph in the post draw the attention of the eyes to the center of the photo where the main happening is. It is basically an easy path for the eyes to follow with different elements in the photo.
