It was raining again… What else was I supposed to do other than seek for inside photo locations? Inside there were a couple of security guards so I was asking if it was OK to take photos from inside the station.
I have been going to San Francisco so many times over the past 10 years and it is always a pleasure to get back there and find more places to see – like this time when I was walking around to explore the part of the city I hardly know.
The actual idea was to find out if the Salesforce tower is open to the public (it is not BTW). So I went to the Salesforce Transite Center because I wanted to go talk to somebody about the opening hours of the Salesforce Tower. When I found out that I was only allowed to get up there with an invitation, I thought to go back to the station to investigate it. I found some nice symmetrical shots!
Photography Tip: Explore
I know that I wrote this before but I think exploring is one of the essential things! Whenever I can, I explore the location during the day for the composition I want to take a photo of later.
I also look for the cardinal directions East and West. East = sunrise and sunset happens West. And that is the exact time when I start my photography walking tour wherever I am. Not only that, but I walk around quite a bit anyway to explore places I even know to get some nice perspectives I have not seen before.
