It’s officially official: I will be presenting in German (well, actually Swiss-German) about my travels last year during the Indian Summer.
What started as a simple road trip idea turned into an unforgettable journey. Last autumn, I travelled across the Northeast of the United States, chasing the colors of the Indian Summer. From the beautiful and rugged coastlines of Maine to the landscapes of Vermont and New Hampshire, and finally down to the streets of New York City – it was a journey filled with breathtaking views, unique stories, and countless photographic moments.
This trip wasn’t just about ticking places off a list. It was about changing perspectives – both visually and mentally. That’s why the presentation is part of my new project called “Perspectives”. It’s more than just a collection of pretty pictures. It’s about showing how travelling can open your mind, how looking through a camera lens can shift the way you see the world, and how colors, light, and atmosphere tell stories beyond words.
In the talk, I’ll take the audience on a visual journey. You’ll experience the golden forests of Acadia National Park, misty mornings in the White Mountains, mirror-like lakes reflecting fiery autumn leaves, and cities that seem frozen in time. But you’ll also hear the real stories behind the photos – like spontaneous detours, unexpected conversations with locals, and the occasional challenge of capturing the perfect shot.
This presentation is not just for photographers but for anyone who loves to explore the world with open eyes and curiosity. I’ll share my personal tips on how to plan a photography-driven trip, how to read the light, and how sometimes the best pictures are the ones you didn’t plan for.
If you’ve ever dreamed of experiencing the Indian Summer yourself, or if you simply want to escape everyday life for an hour and immerse yourself in colors, landscapes, and stories – this is for you (If you understand Swiss-German).
I’m both nervous and excited about standing in front of an audience. But more than anything, I’m looking forward to sharing my experiences, my photos, and hopefully a bit of inspiration.
