As you may know, I headed out to San Francisco. It was my first flight within the past one and a half years! The US only allows vaccinated people and I had to additionally bring a negative PCR test. On top of that I had to sign an extra paper that verifies by my signature my negative PCR test and my proof of vaccination. And not to forget is about the ESTA visa.
At the airport in Zürich, they checked my documents briefly at check-in. I was told to have them ready at the gate and at immigrations in the US. Neither at the gate, nor at immigrations in the US anyone wanted to see my documents. All they cared was my Chocolate and the Cheese. I still have the original signed document that I had to do the day of departure.
I took this photograph while my friends were driving me around at the Presidio (I want to basically say that I made it to the US). I saw that sun-halo and jumped out of their car – I hope they did not get mad at me. I have no idea how long such a halo sicks around…
Photography Tip:
Always take your time to reset your camera to your regular settings after shooting. It just happened to me over here that I forgot to reset the aperture compensation. I was shooting a sunset and dialed it down to minus one. The next day I had some trouble because the photos were looking different…
