A friend of mine owns an aircraft. He was asking if I was interested in flying from Grenchen to Locarno to have a pizza there – of course my answer was yes! Sitting in the cockpit touching all the buttons and help him steering the wrong way is fun!
Seriously, it was good fun, and I haven’t touched anything. But I learned a lot about flying an aircraft. For instance, I learned that the international language for communication is English, except if you are flying in the French part of Switzerland, then it’s French. By the way, the pizza was really good at the airport in Locarno!
Photography Tip:
Obviously, a tripod did not fit into the cockpit of the aircraft, so I had to shoot handheld. I had to shoot handheld. If I had enough light, I kept the camera in A Mode. When this changed (Shutter Speed blow 1/80 of a second), I used M Mode to choose a low F-Stop and a high shutter speed – later, I corrected everything using Adobe Lightroom.
