A lot of my photo friends try to convince me to get better prepared to take a photo. They keep telling me that the best photos never come together by accident. I only partially agree!
Yes, some of my photos I took are made at the same location I have been to multiple times. I frequently get back to a spot where I want to take a photo during different times of a day to see if there are different light conditions.
I also get back to the same location during multiple times of the year like for instance the broken Pier in San Francisco.
I also plan using the world wide web to find spots at a location I have never been before. But there are certain things I am not able to control such as the weather. One of the best photos I took, came together by accident – The Blade Runner Street in Hong Kong.
I also did not have time to get prepared properly with the photograph in this post. I visited Cuba for the first (and so far only) time, I did not really have time to get back to the same location multiple times. I took this photograph in Trinidad.
Photography Tip:
When it comes to planning, I make sure that I am fully charged up with all my equipment before going out to take photos. There is nothing more nasty than finding out that the battery is not fully charged and there is no backup!
