San Francisco – The Broken Pier #1

17. December 2017

Here is my first short video about how I post processed the photo I took at a broken pier in San Francisco. This is actually processed using Photomatix Pro – the old version.
I bought a new laptop and there I will start investigating the new version of Photomatix.

My retouch workflow with Photomatix Pro looks like this:

1: Import the photos into Adobe Lightroom
2: Start processing the files using the functions within Adobe Lightroom (minor changes like de-noise)
3: Export the files into a subdirectory (mine is called “_Processing”)
4: Start Photomatix Pro and do the post processing part
5: Get into Adobe Photoshop for the final retouch

At the end I always save my photos as a PSD (Photoshop Document) on my NAS system. I do not like several versions of my photo, so I flatten the image before saving and store it.

  • Do you want to learn photography?

Do it with me and jump over to my store. There are several eBooks and presets I have been working on over the past few years – no kidding, it took me quite some time to make all this happen! And I am still working on it, there is more to come!
