There’s something deeply fascinating to me about taking photos – it’s like freezing a split second of reality, framing a moment in time that would otherwise slip away unnoticed. Whether it’s the soft light of the sun behind a tree, the emotion on a stranger’s face, or the patterns of everyday life, photography teaches you to see the world more attentively. You start noticing details: shadows, colors, movement, and silence.
And then comes the second magic moment – post-processing. That’s when you sit down, revisit your shots, and bring them to life. It’s like painting, but with light and memory.
Adjusting tones, balancing colors, cropping for composition – it’s not about changing the moment, but revealing the feeling you had when you took the shot. It’s both technical and emotional, and the best part is: there’s no single “right” way. It’s your interpretation, your story, your style.
Together, shooting and editing make photography a journey – from what your eyes see to what your heart feels.
Photography Tip: How can I best back up and archive my photos?
The golden rule: 3-2-1 backup
- Three copies of every photo
- Two different media types (e.g., hard drive & cloud)
- One copy stored externally (cloud or NAS)

Keeping your archive organized also helps — for example, by year > month > day > project name. I never use Lightroom for this!
