London is always worth a trip! It is a bit expensive I have to admit; especially the hotel prices! I have not been there for a while and the city keeps changing very fast. In one of my earlier posts I have uploaded a before and after shoot of the St. Paul cathedral. All the cranes are gone in the after photograph; a lot of construction going on in London at the moment.
I do not like cranes on a picture; they do not add anything to it. Except maybe it tells the story of construction – but not in my photographs and that is the reason why I removed the cranes.

The hotel I was staying at was located pretty close to the Piccadilly Circus subway station. So when I was out taking photographs the two nights I spent there, I started at this tube station.

From there I walked over to the Big Ben to take the Tube to the Tower Bridge.

Before getting to London, I was talking to a friend of mine about possible locations for good photographs. One of the photographs was showing the Shard between buildings. After this photograph I wanted to take the tube back to the hotel. When I have arrived at the station, I realized that the subway did not operate anymore. This was roughly around 1am.
So I decided to walk back and according to Google Maps I would only take me 50 minutes. Not as a photographer it does…
