The day after my birthday I flew to Miami for one night, respectively one morning 😉
I might have said this already, but whenever I fly west, the jet lag allows me to get up early in the morning to get some sunrise shots.
Usually I investigate the location during the day so I know where I want to go take photos. After checking in to the hotel, I needed some food – airplane food is (in my opinion) bad food and I try to avoid it. After I have had my food with some beers, I walked up to the beach to go see what there is – pitch black…
I was not able to see anything so it was a little surprise the morning after what I will get.

Lightroom Tip: Magenta
Often, when I post process my photos of sunsets or sunrises, I choose the “Daylight” option and increase the Magenta. I take the “Tint” slider and move it to the right. This gives the photograph an extra touch of color.
Usually there is Magenta in such a scene but the way the photo is processed, it is simply missing out.
