Writing a New Book

6. June 2024

I’ve started writing a new book about my travels, and this time it’s a bit different from my previous work. My earlier book, “Stuck in Different Languages”, is a collection of beautiful photographs paired with stories from my adventures around the world. While it features a substantial amount of text for an illustrated book, the photographs are central to its narrative, providing a visual complement to the written experiences.

While writing a new book, however, the focus shifts entirely to travel itself. I will be sharing insights and anecdotes from my journeys across various countries and continents, all amassed over a period of more than six months.

As a dedicated photographer, my initial plan was to include a significant number of photos. Surprisingly, even though I’m not yet halfway through writing, I already have 28 pages of pure text for just the German portion of the book. This content is rich with details, observations, and reflections on my travels.

When I consider translating this book into English, it becomes clear that it will almost necessitate a separate publication. The sheer volume of text raises concerns about space for photographs, which I had originally intended to feature prominently. The detailed narratives, particularly those focusing on cities in Germany and France, required extensive research and have resulted in text-heavy sections. My explorations in the US and Colombia, while equally fascinating, are approached with a slightly different focus.

Question:

Some of the content details the cities I’ve chosen to visit, especially in Germany and France, where I thoroughly researched my destinations. This meticulous approach faded a bit during my travels to the US and Colombia.

Nonetheless, I provide tips and tricks for enhancing future travel experiences and advice on how to finance your trips (and many more things).

Now, here’s my question: I still need a title for my new book. Do you have any suggestions?

Do it with me and jump over to my store. There are several eBooks and presets I have been working on over the past few years – no kidding, it took me quite some time to make all this happen! And I am still working on it, there is more to come!
