During the pandemic I started taking photographs in Switzerland – where else was I supposed to go? I took this photograph in Laupen, just around the corner from where I live. I drove by the castle a couple of times and wanted to stop to take some pictures, but never really had time to do so.
When I got a few weeks ago, I was quite surprised about the town. There is not only a castle, but also a whole village left in the mid evil design. In Switzerland, there are laws to keep the houses after a certain age the way the look. It is not allowed to rip them apart and build new modern ones. It makes it a little bit more expensive to renovate…
Photography Tip:
As you may know I just came back from Florida on the weekend – the weather there is nice and sunny, not like here in Switzerland where it is cold and foggy. Therefore, I brought my sunglasses. This tip is as simple as it is stupid. When you look at the screen of your camera and there is nothing shown, simply take off the sunglasses.
My sunglasses are polarized and when I look at the screen, I do not see anything.
