Getting to Albania was an unforgettable journey. To begin, I drove to Venice, followed by a ferry ride to Igoumenitsa in Greece – as already mentioned. From there, a short drive led me to the Albanian border. Although the border crossing from Greece to Albania was a bit time-consuming, it was necessary as they checked everyone’s proper documents and the purpose of their visit. This is when the travelling in Albania started!
Albania is an exciting and fascinating Balkan country. Before my trip, I didn’t know much about this corner of the Earth. But that’s precisely what triggered my curiosity.
My tour around Albania is so far an adventure filled with many beautiful moments and highlights – from the dreamy beaches in the south, to the authentic villages in the hinterlands.
It is the warm and hospitable people, especially, that made my journey so far extraordinary.
My next thing involves hosting a 5-day photography tour for a group of photographers arriving from Switzerland. I’ll pick them up in Tirana, the capital of Albania. Then we will be travelling in Albania together!
This is just the beginning as I plan to organize more exciting tours in 2024 – take a look over on my store.
Personal Quote and Tip:
Albania is an absolute treasure of photogenic beauty, offering a plenty of stunning locations that serve as striking backdrops for any photographer’s dream. From its blue beaches to its awesome national parks, this country seems to have everything I desire as a photographer.
When I first arrived, I relied on Google to find the most interesting photo spots that Albania had to offer.
However, upon arrival, I found myself pleasantly overwhelmed in the beauty of this country. Each corner reveals a new and captivating scene, making it a photographer’s paradise.
I’ve also started to ask the locals where they would go. Believe me, I have received some amazong tips!
