I will be going back to Paris next week! I’m super excited about this! Actually, I’m not a fan of the big tourist hotspots, especially in the city area. Nevertheless, a visit to Paris was on the agenda for a variety of reasons – a huge city with many famous sights to take photos. What is interesting is the fact that there are many things in Paris that are different than in comparable mega-metropolises. Like the street artists are all over Paris. Certainly this is something that exists in many cities, but in Paris it particularly caught my eye.
Thanks to Discover Walks, I’ve experienced an exciting and entertaining tour through the artists’ quarter of Montmartre. This area has become touristy in the meantime, but it has retained its charm.
Later I went back on my own to walk (more or less) the same route. But this time I took myself time to take some photographs while walking there. If you want to see what I will be doing in Paris, jump over to my Instagram account. I’ll post on the stories there when travelling.
Photography tip:
Regardless where I am going, I am trying to get off the main drags and explore on my own. Some of the locations like San Francisco and Paris I know pretty good since I spend quite some time there. But, every time I get back, I find areas that I don’t know as good as others.
One more hint:
What I just have written can sometimes be dangerous if you walk into the wrong neighborhood. Ask at the reception of the hotel, where you should not go before getting lost on your own.
